What fabrics do we use?
Berry Ellen uses predominately 100% cotton canvas. Throughout the year we add selected synthetic blend tapestries and taffetas.

Is our clothing machine washable?
The 100% cotton cansas has been machine washed and pre-shrunk before sewing. All Berry Ellen cotton canvas should be washed in cold water, seperately for the first few washings, with mild detergent (no bleaches) and hung or laid flat to dry.
Tip: Add 1/4 cup of white vinegar to the wash cycle to set the pygment dye. This also works as a fabric softener.
Do not spot wash the canvas as the soft dye will lift and leave a lighter area.
Tip: Spray with "President's Choice" fabric spot treatment and wash as indicated above.

Do we make special sizes?
We size from 8 to 22 off the rack. but yes we do make special sizes to accomodate various body types and sizes. There is no extra charge for this service. Our customer is our best advertisor. We want your clothing to look and feel great.

Do we have all clothing pieces available at the craft shows?
We stirve to bring a wide selection of clothing to each show., however as some fabrics and styles are seasonal they may not be available at all shows.

What if I lose a button?
If you lose a button, please contact us. We will either replace your button if it is still in stock, or send you a compatable replacement set of buttons.

What is our return policy?
Berry Ellen has an exchange only return policy, however specific problems can be given special consideration at our discretion.

Do we ship out of province or country?
Yes, in Ontario and the rest of Canada we use Canada Post. Shipping cost is subject to change; please inquire when ordering. The shipping charge and carrier on out of country orders is determined at the time the order is placed. Customs, duties and applicable taxes are the responsibility of the recipient. All packages are insured and traceable.

What payment do we accept?
Phone orders and at shows we accept Visa, MasterCard, cheques and cash. At Berry Ellen Clothier and Antiques in Old Dundas we accept all of the for-mentioned payment methods as well as debit card.

Do we refinish pieces if asked?
Yes. Contact us in Binbrook at 905-692-3617. It is the customers responsibility to deliver the item to our Binbrook, Ontario location.

At the time of sale the issue of delivery can be discussed. Depending on the item size and the travelling distance a delivery charge may be applicable.

From what areas do the antiques originate?
Many treasures are fresh to the market through finds from local homes in the Hamilton-Wentworth and Niagara Penninsula areas. We try to find unique pieces and their history so the customer will be well informed. From time to time pieces from other Provinces and US States will surface in a local home.
